My interview and oath were completed in Newark NJ yesterday.
My time line:
Applied: June end, 2003 ( 90 days short of 5 years)
FP: Early Aug. 2003
Interview letter received: Late March 2004
Interview and Oath: May 24, 2004
Applied for passport: Same day
I have benefited immensely from this forum (albeit from the real experiences of the people who have gone through the process). This forum a valuable asset and I used it during my Green Card processing also.
But of late, I have seen this being degraded to a chat room with postings which does not add any real value. I think the moderator needs to set some guidelines to maintain the usefulness and dignity.
The so-called "expert opinions" from people who neither went through the process nor had any legal training are the down sides of this otherwise excellent forum.
Messages from people who just respond to every posting (more often than not, during the work hours) reflects badly on the work ethics of the community.
I had a very positive experience with INS throughout. They are professional, courteous and helpful. Please understand that it is a day in day out job for them. For a minute let us step into their shoes and you will appreciate.
Thanks again for all the help I received from the admin. and members of this forum
