I got a new passport in 9 days ---New York

just wanted to share my passport renewal experience with all of you . I sent my passport for renewal on Aug 06th 2007 and received a new passport along with my old passport on Aug 15th 2007. The whole process took almost 9 days ….. fastttttttttt
New York Consulate Is…….. awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's common. I got my passport back in 2 weeks from San Francisco consulate, and that's because this was busy deewali session. SF consulate takes around 4/5 days to return back with old/new passport.

Hi Sumanda
Did you notarize all the documents that you sent viz

Last 5 and first 2 pgs
H1B/EAD
DriversLicense copy
Lease Papers
IN my case degree certificate and marriage certificate too !!

These seems like too many docs to be notarized.
Notarty charges are $10 per signature .


Any suggestions on minimizng the notary charges ????
