Do I need the original I-140 approve notice (my lawyer holds it now) for applying I-EAD, or photocopy of I-140 approve notice is okay?
thanks

did you see this requirement somewhere ? As far as i know you don't need 140 receipt to apply for ead. pls don't start new rumors!

didn't you ask a similar question recently and got answers?

hey stain, cool down. All i was saying is that one doesn't require i-140 to apply for ead/i-ead. Where do you see this requirement ?

Now if one got an RFE (for i-140 receipt) that's a separate question. Here we are talking about applying to ead not for replying to RFE.

finally, i was referring to this similar thread started by luckstar, which got about 15 replies. http://boards.immigrationportal.com/showthread.php?threadid=68707

One always has a choice:

#1 Send only required papers and just "hope" that RFE will not be issued for a few extra documents
OR
#2 Attach them without any harm and eliminate a chance of getting RFE.

I don't think there is a person on this board who would prefer the first way (but maybe you, robin_m?)
