When i filled my resident application I did not mentioned a son who is living in my country, but now that i'm going to apply for my citizenship i would like to write down his name.

That will cause a big problem for my citizenship?
how can I handle this?
should I not mentioned him?

Hmm... did you forget him on the first document :)

Truthfulness is more important than consistency - but of course, consistency follows from consistent truthfulness. I'm curious, why did you not mention your son.

Ooops. I guess the first thing the IO is going to ask is if you have paid support for that child. Most likely he's going to ask for a paternity test. You just don't forget about a son in an application. Perhaps you had your own motives to do this, but of course it's most likely going to raise questions. On the other hand, if you get very lucky and they miss the point that you didn't include this son in your green card application, or that it was an oversight from your part then you shouldn't get so much trouble except they might still ask for proof of support and/or paternity test.

My 2 cents.

You should "mention" him. Not "mentioning" him would be lying to the USCIS, which you have already done once. In fact if you have had a divorce you need to send "with the application" your divorce certificate and possibly proof you are not shirking from paying child support.

It is better to come clean now, but you don't need to bring I did not "mention" it the last time - you make it sound "mentioning" you have a son was an option. Sorry, If I am being a bit sarcastic here, but.. well never mind.

Thanks to your quick answers,

I did not mentioned him because he wasn't living with me here in the USA, I thought I do not have to. but I'm sending money to him every month,

- how I can proof that he is getting that money and I'm supporting him?
