Just got a request for biometric data capture and new fingerprints today.
Initial fingerprints done May 4 2004. Not yet 15 months old but biometrics were not captured at the time (first waste of time).
Did fingerprints & biometrics for 2nd EAD on 3/3/05 but not told of I-485 biometric requirement (second waste of time, third if you count the need for a 2nd EAD).
I got a notice in the mail today for myself and three dependents to attend a biometric appointment on 4/7/05. As we were all on spring break, we went straight down to local CIS office hoping to get the appointment changed to sometime this week.
The ASC office told us to come back at 3:00pm today when it was quieter. We returned at 2:45pm and were let straight in. All fingerprints and biometrics were then collected (first big saving of time) Thank you ASC office!
I am still slightly peeved because I imagine my adjudicator triggered the biometric request on 3/17/05. If this had been picked up, say a YEAR earlier, then I could have been approved this month. My guess is that the case will not resurface until sometime after the initial biometric appointment date has passed (4/7/05).
