I can use old I140 to file I485

I have an I140 approved in Oct under company name A. But my division is spun off from A become B. I have to reapply I-140 in Oct under company B. Now my PD is current, I wonder if I can use the approved I-140 under A to
file my I485 while waiting for my new I-140 get approved ?

I had a similar situation. Here is what my attroney did:
FIle the I-1485 based on old I-140 and include all the crap about \'successor-of-interest\' (see if that applies to you) and then also file an I-140 from Company B. If INS issues an RFE, you can send them the new I-140 receipt/approval.

This is exactly what I would do too. No point wasting time (simply) waiting for an amended I-140 to be approved....
