Dear All,

I am new here. I posted in EB1 forum, but it might be better to post here, since it is 485 related.
I am working for a start-up company and the company seems to going to be belly up very soon. I have EB1-EA approved recently and I485 pending. If I am suddenly out of work, do I have problem to have I-485 approval. Since I am in a very special field, it probably take a while to get another job. Will there be any problem if I take a Postdoc job?

Thanks for your kind help in advance.

I-485 pending > 6 months, should be ok. Even less than that might work because your company is not going to revoke your I-140 most likely..

Really depends on when you applied 485.

If it was as recently as 6 months back, nothing to worry. Fortunately for you, your file most probably won't be touched for another year or more.

If you find a job before that time, there is good chance you are ok.

Depending on when you filed and your company goes bankrupt, things could still work out for you.
Lot of people had similar experiences. Also try search in this forum..

EB1 is self-sponsored. No question of revoking of I-140 since it is self petitioned. But need to find same or similar job with similar salary ASAP.
