My husband and I received or GS earlier this year (both were backdated 1 year). We want to travel and wonder for which document to apply: RTD or Re-Entry Permit? What is the differences between the two? Any advantages? What about going to COP? I saw some discussion, but that didn't help. Thanks!

Really depends on where you are going and how long you gonna stay overseas. Keep in mind that RTD is valid for 1 year only while RP for 2 years; however not all the countries recognize RP. If you really want to travel to COP national passport I guess would be the best choice, but if it has expired already I would use RP rather than RTD.
