I am scared..... (RFE case)

Today, I check the AVM and was scared. AVM says that my RFE case can take as long as 540 days! The following is what I heard.

"On Oct.3, 2002, we receive your response to our request for additional evidence. It is taking between 365 and 540 days for us to process this kind of case. However, because preliminary processing is complete before we requrie additional material, the remaining processing time for this case is about 540 days. You will receive written notice when the case is completed."

Does this make sense?????

The remaining time is greater than the total time! I am mad! Above message is accurate in its logical sense, so I didn't make error. Can any one tell me what does that mean?

Also, does this time start from the ND or from the RFE date? Oh, mine, I can't imagine that.

Any help to calm me down is greatly appreciated.

I don't know about RFE message for 485. But, I got RFE for EAD and got the same message. But, they sent me my EAD within 2 weeks.

I would think that 485 message means the same.

Calm down and enjoy.

Is it enough to calm you down?
 
That is a standard message for I-485 RFE. Usually, they approve within 2 weeks once they received your response. Don't worry about AVM message.

So, I wouldn't worry too much about the message you've
heard on AVM

Its a standard message after RFE. Most cases got approved in 30-60 days.
