I came here on a k-1 visa and married an american guy. we are from California and what do we have to do now? Where to apply and what to do? How long does it take to the get a temporary green card and a travel document because I would like to go to Russia in May. Please, help.
 
If you are K1 visa you must apply I-130 within 3 months. You can also file I-485 ,EAD(To work in US) and advance parole (for travelling purpose).

If you do not have knowledge go to your local USCIS office they give you the list of the for you need to apply.

I would suggest you go to good attorney (for instance Rajeev Khanna) so that every thing goes fine and smooth.
