I am placed on further review after interview

Yesterday i had my interview at us embasy Accra and it went like this .
After swearing us she asked me and my wife the following
1.When did you marry
2 How did you meet each other
3 your education
4 Where are your pictures to show your relationaship
she told me to go and sit down and she put the same questions to my wife. She call me back and pick a yellow paper and wrote something she gave me back our passports and told me that because we didin, t bring surficient pictures to proof our relationship she has placed us for further processing.and asked my contact number
I have the following questions
1.I will say that i marry her after i won the lotteries did you think this may be the reason
2. If you are denaid Visa will they tell you instantly there or later
3.I have not been given any paper only our passport back what is the meaning

I think before we comment, we need more information about when, where and how your marriage took place. You need to tell us whether you won the lottery before your marriage or not. Don't you have any pictures for your marriage ceremony? No family photo album? Tell us more about your marriage, then we can be in a better position to say something about it.

For sure that is the reason. Do you have older photos of your relationship, older utility bills in both names etc?

I think before we comment, we need more information about when, where and how your marriage took place. You need to tell us whether you won the lottery before your marriage or not. Don't you have any pictures for your marriage ceremony? No family photo album? Tell us more about your marriage, then we can be in a better position to say something about it.

I won the lottery before our marriage. I first perfomed the engagement ceremony after which we register the marriage in court before finally blessing the marriage in a church and in all of this i presented pictures at the interview but the officer said it was not enoff

Do you have some old photos of both of you before your marriage or winning the lottery? One thing for sure, if there are more visas to be issued, the American Embassy will send some of their staff to come to where you live to interview some people. This will enable them to ascertain whether your marriage is genuine or made purposefully for the dv.

The United States Embassy has warned Ghanaians to desist from fraudulent marriages arranged to benefit from the Diversity Visa (DV) lottery programme.

According to them, this makes it harder for legitimate people to get their visas. The US Embassy takes the issue of fraud very seriously and has made several arrests involving fraudulent marriages arranged to benefit from the DV programme.

All marriages now undergo careful scrutiny because of the huge number of fraud marriages submitted during the application period.

This is the reason why they have put your application under administration, especially since your marriage is after winning the dv lottery. In some instances, the Embassy makes it clear that those who includes their family after winning the lottery will not be issued visas. I hope they do their investigation and issue you the visa accordingly, since your marriage appears genuine.
