I am on h4.Attaining 21 years shortly..filed for labor... how to keep status valid?

Need advice on the following.

1) I am on H4 and i am attatining 21 years by August,2004.

2) Labor clearnace is is in regional processing stage - Chicago.

3) If i am able to file for i-485 before august,2004, i think i will have valid legal status. Is it correct?

4) If i am unable file for i-485(before completion of 21 years)....
Question is
a) Can i convert H4 to H1B VISA?
b) Will H1 CAP applies to the conversion?
c) How can i keep legal status, till i get H1B stamping?

Is there a legality that the 485 cannot be filed before 21 years? I would not think so.

Sure if you qualify and somebody sponsers you

Yes unless your H1 is processed by a cap-exempt entity (like a univ)

c) How can i keep legal status, till i get H1B stamping?
