did you try to call VSC ? what do they say ? do they confirm all the security checks are cleared ?

I-140 : ad 03/04.
fP1 done : 2/15/04.
I-485 LUD : 10/10/04.
I-485 Status inquiry on 11/22/04 asked me to wait 120 days pending service consideration. Nothing happend till now
Fbi got back a response saying that name check completed on 05/07/03.
sent the expedite request fax on 04/08/05 no response till now.
I-485 approved date ???????

What I would suggest is contacting your senator. Also talk to your attorney to see if they can get some information about your case thru AILA.

Dear All,
It looks like USCIS has shifted its focus from I485 presently as I really don't see that many approvals as we have seen in the last month. I have talked to my lawyer and he is asking me to keep cool and there is very little they can do to help and I have talked to my congressman's office and was told to wait for another 3 to 4 weeks as our cases are with the IIO from the last three weeks.
Honestly, I think it is our luck and nothing else will make any difference and we should just wait for our time to come.........

I agree with you 100 % !!!
This also lists how cases are processed by USCIS...totally on luck.

I have taken appt in INS to see imm officer.
Got response from INS for my enquiry. They said they lack man power.

I did the same thing what you are going to do now. I took an infopass appointment and talked to the IIO at Newark, NJ but she was absolutely of no real help and she told me that since my case is with VSC, I should actually talk to VSC and not local office. So basically it was real waste of time and energy!
I don't want to disappoint you, but please go with no hope and if something works out good then atleast you won't be disappointed.

Thanks for posting your exp with INS Newark. My appt is at the same place. Do you think going to VSC will help ? Or since we have to give the zipcode for infopass appt, will we be unable to get appt in VSC (and can only get appt in Newark )?
