Hello everbody

I am in a weird situation.
First of I came to the states from Germany in 2002. Got married , but wasnt planning to when i first got here, within the three month and applied for I181 before my three months were up.
I got everything done and even got to get the letter for the interview for the gc.
now i did have to cancel the appointment because it was a few days before my daughters due date and it would have been a 7 hour drive.
after that i havent heard anything back.

we called a lot of times but never got any answers.
i went to infopass appointments and recieved a letter in november 2007 statng that my case is still pending and they will inform me what will happen.
nothing again. so we called and went to appointments again. nobody could tell us anything and we just kept getting those letters.
the last letter i got july 28 2009 said i have to make an appointment for fingerprints. so i did that and the first one i could get is august 28 2009.
here is the pickle. today i got a letter saying my case got denied and i have to leave the country.
that letter is datet august 2004. and was sent to the wrong adress. the letter for my interview i had to cancel was sent to the right one, the denied letter got mailed to the previous address.

now i dont know whats going on. i never got another letter, always changed address.
the reason for denial is that i havent shown up for two appointments.
i never recieved those letters. they had the right address.

my husband is deployed right now, i have three kids and i dont know what to do.
i am scared to go to that appointment now. my passport is expired.
i am a mess at the moment.

i will call a lawyer on monday but i am not even sure how much good that will do.

i am confussed. i dont know if i have been here illegaly for the past 5 years or not. i got those update letters and they never said anything about case denied.

has that ever happend to anyone and what did you do?

i am very thankful for every help i can get.

First of all consult with your lawyer ASAP on this. I do think however that it's something that can be cleared up, and you should be able to get your Green Card. Actually the I89 is for the Biometrics for your Green Card.
Again don't fret. Let your lawyer deal with Immigration on how to untangle this mess.

Do you mean your husband is serving in the US Military. If that is correct then there are additional provisions for non-citizen military spouses to get US Citizenship.

I mean wherever you go and plead your case, let them know that your husband was deployed -- it'll always help.
