My L1 visa is ended this August. I apply for renewal and got the renewal packge including the new I-94. I had to travel abroad after i got the new I-94, and as it happened i wasn't informed that i need to present the "renewal" I-94 in the port when coming back to the US, so i was admitted with a new I-94 valid through the end of August (align with my current visa).
Now, I've been told the new I-94 I got at JFK precedes the "renewal" I-94.
To my question: can i travel to Canada and immediately return to the US (without getting a new visa) with my current visa which still valid through the end of August, and the "renewal" I-94 which is/was valid through August 2009, and get a new I-94 at the US entrance port?
