I-94 -- ????

i switched from my H1 to EAD when my H1 expired...but never went out of the country after that. My I-94 has the H1 expiry date on it... (Nov 2002 )....

is that a problem? if i need to apply for EAD renewal and AP i need to send a copy of I-94.

ps: can someone please explain to me the real purpose and importance of I-94...

As far as I know - since you are already an AOS applicant - you are considered "In Status" pending your AOS application. But you may wish to consult your attorney to make it sure...
