I-94 question

Gurus, please help me.

My case was approved and I'm ready to go for passport stamping, but I'm really confused about the I-94.

My I-94 and second H1-B expired on 11/20/2001. However, my I-485 was filed on 8/8/2001 and got my EAD on 10/11/2001 (valid for a year).

What exactly is I-94 in my case? Expired white I-94 card that was attached to the passport? or the H1-B lower portion(which is expired as well).

thanks

Fizk,

Take both.

I presume, u were working on EAD since ur H1B expired on 10/11/2001 and probably ur employer didn't renew it.

Thank you dam_va and Paccha

You are correct, my employer did not renew my EAD since they expected my approval before 10/11/2002. Now my lawyer strongly suggest NOT to take courtesy copy for stamping to Boston INS, I dont know why. They havent received original notice yet (my case was approved on 9/13/02), and I'm running out of patience.
I'm going to wait till this Thursday and planing to go to Boston INS for stamping with my courtesy copy. I will take the I-94 and second H1B visa as you guys suggested. My attorney is going to be really mad if he comes to know I went passport stamping without his "permission".

fizk,

Is ur lawyer mad or what? Why won't he let u take the courtsey copy and who is he to give u permission. GC is urs and he is only a means to facilitate the process.
