I-94 question. Which one to send?

I am here on H-1B visa. I changed job in 2001 Jan and got H-1B transfer. Along with the H-1B approval came a I-94 which is valid till Sep 2003. My original I-94 that I got at the airport was valid till 2002 -april. My question is that am I out of status because my original I-94 expired even though my h-1b transfer - I-94 is valid till 2003. And also I am applying for GC . SHould I send my original I-94 or the one that came along with H-1B approval (both have same numbers) or both.

The old one is optional. I had my done 2 months ago, - sending both I-94.

You are not out of status as long as your new I-94 is valid.
