I-94 question when in AOS

Hi,

I was wondering some one can answer this :

My I-485 is pending from Jan 03(concurrent case, I -140 approved in october 03). My H1-B expired in May 2003 and I am currently working on EAD for the same employer sponsoring my GC.

I am planning to go to India for a trip using AP which is valid through July.

The last I-94 I am having is from my expired H1B (may 2003). Do I have to return this to the airlines when I leave the country ?

You have to keep a copy of your I94 and submit while Departure from US.

In return you have to show your AP at the port of entry and they will give I94 no expiry on that some times.
