I-94 for AP

Today I used my AP in the POE, immigration officer gave me I-94 valid
till Aug-05, even though my AP is valid till Jun-05. Is it general practice ??

Also immigration officer didn't even look at my EAD, I thought he will make
some entry about my EAD too. Please let me know if I missed anything.

Yes, they always give it for 1 year from that date at POE. But u can travel only based on the date on ur AP.
