I-94 extension if travel to Canada

My mom is on B2 visa and her I94 is going to expire in middle of Janurary. My brother lives in Canada.IS it possible if my mom flies to Cananda for more tha 30 days then she will be issued a brand new I94 with another 6 months of stay.

I flew to Toronto and they did not take my I94 when they see that I was returning to US. They made a big fuss and "interviewed" me when I asked for another "white card"

I had to make another trip to UK to renew my I94.
