Hi,

This may be a naive question. My I-94 expires in Nov '05 and I have a valid AP through Mar `06. My question is does my I-94 expiry have any bearing on my status to stay in US with a valid AP.

I guess I don't have to leave and re-enter with the AP to get a valid I-94.

Thanks for your time

I would imagine that you have already filed for 485. As you have filed 485, your stay in US is legal (even if your last I-94 expires). AP does not govern your legal status, 485 or any other status like H1 does. AP is only used for entering US as a parolee. Thats it. So, to answer your question, you do not need to leave US for staying in legal status.
