I-94 expired

I saw another thread where a person had problems with an expired I-94 due to the immigration officer listing the previous employer.

I was wondering how much of a problem this really is. My H-1B expired in Oct/2002, and along with it, the I-94. My 485 has been pending since Mar/2002 and I'm on an EAD right now. Never left the country since I applied for 485.

Thanks!

You remain in status after filing I-485. Your H1 I-94 expiration is no problem. Did you switch to EAD immediately after H1 expiration?

Thanks greenpeace. Are you actually with the 'Greenpeace' corps?

nkm-oct23,
I got my EAD about 5 weeks before my H1-B expired.

I think what nkm-oct23 asked is
whether your firm HR changed ur H-1B to EAD in a form
(I forget the form#, it's a form for everyone including US citizen)

yager,
My firm (despite being a large one) was pretty prompt in reminding me of my H1 expiry. They wanted to know as soon as my EAD was approved. I gave them a copy of my EAD right after I received it...I suppose they must've filled out that mystery form. Are you thinking about tax related documents?
