I-94 correction

My wife's H4 is based on my H-1B which is valid till 10/2005. At the port of entry the immigration officer marked her I-94 valid till 10/2004, and then realized his mistake and changed 2004 to 2005.

I applied for my wife's driving license last week and was told that it could not be approved since her I-94 is altered and therefore not acceptable to the DMV. What are my options for getting her I-94 changed.... other than of course a trip to Canada? Does this have any impact on her Green Card application.. the BCIS should have the 10/2005 date in their system (?).

Can I just got to the local BCIS office and request a change?

Great!!

JoeF .. thanks for the info. So it is not as bad as it sounds... I was a little worried, especially since the idiots at the DMV acted like I had committed a major crime and changed the I-94 myself.

A clarification..

Can I just go to the BCIS Service center (in my case I think its either Cherry Hill, NJ or Newark, NJ) and fill out the form and get this done?

Any specific supporting docs that are required for the I-102? I will of course carry everything I have, but I want to check with you just in case there are any other specific requirements.

Thanks again....:)
