My kid needs to be "Parolee" status in I-94 to receive Financial aid and Bright Future scholorship . She does not have "H4" status. She has been in pending status of 485 and travelling using AP documents and working with EAD (part time though).

Last year my kid travelled to Bahamas and got "Parolee" status and she was success receiving scholorship and aid. This year she travelled to Mexico (via Brownsville,TX) and received I-94 using AP, but I-94 says "AOS" instead of "Parolee". What does "AOS" refer to? Is it similar to Parolee? Do you think this will cause confusion with the institution?
Any ideas gurus?

AOS means "adjustment of status" - which is another way to designate that somebody is a parolee. It's the same thing, just that the IO chose to write something else. This shouldn't be a problem unless the inspector at the university is ignorant, in which case your kid can show the actual stamped AP document.

They are already ignorant, if evidence of a pending AOS is not good enough but a "parolee" I-94 is.

The kid probably will have to leave the US again and reenter by air to get a parolee I-94.
