It took me just over three months to get a replacement card: my name was incorrect, but, at least, i did not have to pay the replacement fee since the error on the card was not my fault and I had had a very solid evidence to support that. Postage expenses were kinda high, though.

Don't ask me how many years, blood, tears and mental health it took me to get this card - I was seriously depressed over this issue around Christmas of 2005: for whatever reason my I-485 was hopelessly stuck!

This board kept me going and not letting me slip into insanity.

Anyway, dealing with the INS is a matter of the past for me and I sincerely hope it will be soon for you, too.
