I-90 Docs

Hello,

My sister and I both need to send supporting documentation (presumably just front & back copes of the expiring green card) for I-90/green card renewal. I don't know if it'd make any difference to whether we have our biometrics scheduled for the same day (due to the driving distance), but am I correct in assuming it would be okay to send our supporting docs in the same envelope? Thanks..

There's no harm in sending them in the same envelope, provided that your documents are properly separated from hers.

If you have your biometrics appointments on different days, but you both get the appointment notice before the earlier of the two appointments, both of you should go to the earlier appointment. When you're there, just hand them the appointment notice and act as if nothing is wrong; don't bring up the date difference unless they say something about it. If they say something, explain the situation with the long drive and ask if they'll accept you (or your sister, if she has the later appointment) as a walk-in.

Interesting suggestion. Presumably only the ASCs verify appointments, and if the biometrics arrive early for processing that's their business. Seems worth a try. Thank you for the help.
