Hi, I'm a 19 year old girl and I'm from England. I moved to America with my mum under a marriage visa? in 2005. Recently I moved out of state to another state. My mum is in (OH) and I'm in (NC). Anyways, I recently either had my wallet stolen or misplaced and I don't have anything in that wallet/any sort of government I.D in possestion. It had: my permanent residentcy card, social secruity number, state ID, money, etc.

I've had to shell out $450 for a new one and now have my biometrics appoinment at the end of the month. The appoinment letter says I have to bring some sort of government issued I.D but I don't have one? And the reason I'm getting a NEW Permanent Residentcy card is because my other one has gone, along with the contents of my wallet. I've called uscis and they told me they don't have any information about what the biometrics people will say to me? (they weren't helpful at all). I don't know what to do because I can't get a job without my permanent residentcy card or go to school. The only I.d I have is an old work I.d (with my picture and name - that job also photocopied my old permanent residenty card), Birth certificate and thats it. My passport expired a long time ago and my mum can't find it to give/send it me. They have my findgerprints and photos and all that information in the sytem, (I've had 2 permanent residentcy cards, 1st when I came, 2nd when I turned 14) I just don't know what to do?

I'm poor, I'm a teenage girl and can't work because I don't have any my permanent residentcy card , I can't even go see a dr or a dentist. I'm scared they will reject me and I will be out of $450. Then I feel like my life is over because I won't be able to feed myself or pay to live. Please help me! Do you have any information??

Thanks,
dollilama.

Do you have a copy of your old passport? If yes, you may be able to use that and your birth certificate to obtain a new one through the consulate of your country of citizenship.

If you can go back to OH for a little while to sort it out, you may be able to obtain a replacement Ohio ID with your old address (your mother's house?), because they'll have a picture of you on file and you're only required to present one primary or secondary ID to obtain a replacement (unless other things have changed in which case you'll have to provide more documentation).

Request a reschedule of the I-90 fingerprinting if it looks like you're not able to get an ID in time.

See http://www.bmv.ohio.gov/faq_driver_license.stm#tog
I lost my driver license. How do I replace my lost license?

You must go into a Deputy Registrar agency and present one primary OR one secondary document to obtain a duplicate license. If a change is required to one of the elements; full legal name, date of birth, Social Security number, legal presence or residency, you will be required to provide proof of the change.

See acceptable documents.

For next time, remember that you're not supposed to regularly carry around your Social Security card.

And keep searching your place for your wallet, you might just find it hidden in a crack behind your bed or under something in your closet. Also if you go back to your mother's place, search for your old passport.
