HEllo there,
I got my new EAD card. my h1 b is expiring on Feb 28 2004 . Do I have to update my I-9(HR keeps this form) form with EAD information.

Yes - update I-9

They will also take a photocopy of your EAD and attach it to the form. You can do it a few days before the 28th.

When i accepted my current offer with EAD, i remember my employer asked me to fill out the I-9 form. Will they send it to INS for any employment purpose or is it just for their own verfication purpose only ?

If they didn't send I-9 to INS, do i have to ask them to send it to INS?

Any ideas, how INS will come to know that the person is switching from H1 to EAD for the new job ?

Any info is greatly appreciated !
