I-9 form

Folks,

My H-1 expired on 9/6/02(6 yrs) and I have a valid EAD thru Dec02. However, I have not filled in the I-9 form so far. I am going to do it soon.

What does it do to my status since I have not filled in I-9 immediately after my H-1 expired.

Any comments are welcome and appreciated!!

TO CMPLETE THE I-9 IS NOT YOUR RESPONSIBILITY...EMPLOYER IS RESPONSEL FOR THAT ..
THAT IS ONLY FOR RECORD PURPOSES THAT IF THERE WILL BE ANY INS INSPECTION EMPLOYER HAS TO SHOW THE RECORD OF ALL EMPLOYEES THAT ALL THE EMPLOYEES ARE LEGALLY WORKING WITH THE CORPORATION.
SIMPLY FILL UP THE I-9 TOMORROW..

Yes this employer responsibility to keep your I-9 updated. Yet they do not keep track all of them. You do want to keep your record clean. So do it as soon as possible. It wont harm your future immigration cases.

Hello friends, I have a question on I-9. My H1B visa is expiring at end of NOV 02, I am in the process of applying for EAD and AP at Cincinnati Local INS Office. My Question is what is I-9 ? do I need to fill I-9 ? Where can I get that form, is it downloadable ? Please clear my concept on I-9 ? appreciate your help !!
