I-864 questions

I and my wife, both as U.S citizens want to apply for greencard for my both parents and my wife's both parents, totally 4 persons to immigrate to U.S at the same time. I filled out 2 separate petitions for my parents and my wife did the same for her parents. Both me and my wife have our own salaries. We want them all 4 to live with us in our house.
1) what will be the household size I have to put in I-864?
2) my salary is above 39.962 dollars annually, the 125% poverty line for a household of 6 (if it will be the household size including me, my wife, my parents, her parents). Of course, I did not include the monthly mortgage for house and payments for cars, and ... (My salary which is > 40,000 dollars is pre-tax, pre-mortgage, pre-payments). Should I fill out I-864A or have my wife as a joint sponsor?

1. There will be four I-864s, one for each petition. If all the people apply to immigrate at the same time, the household size should be 3 on all the I-864s (1 for sponsor + 1 for sponsor's spouse + 1 for the immigrant being sponsored; nobody else qualifies to be counted in the household), assuming you don't have any dependent children.
2. Your income by itself should be enough considering a household size of 3, although they may also take into consideration the other people who are immigrating. If it's not enough then your wife could do I-864A as your household member (not joint sponsor). It would be the other way around for your wife's parents -- she would do the I-864, and her income by itself should be enough, but if not, then you could do I-864A as her household member.

Hello newacct and Arsh. I wanted to ask you question on this. My wife is sponsoring her parents for GC, during the process she filed I-864, since her income (as per the formula mettioned in the document should be sufficient). However, just a week before the interview there is an email from India travel visa company (traveldocs) that they are missing I-864A. Not sure how/why they consider teh need for I-864A.

Any experience if you guys had on this, please share ASAP.
