My GC Interview is scheduled next month (Family based - Married to USC). My wife's (USC) income was not enough when i applied for AOS (I485) last year. So we need to use her mom as sponsor (she lives in diferent state).

Now, her mom is out of job since last few month. I'm living with my wife since tha day we married (1 year), and i have stable job since last 5 years with income above poverty line. Can i combine my income with my wife's income to sponsor myself? I read somewhere that if one is living with his wife for more than 6 months, income can be combined. OR do i need another sponsor?

Any suggestions please?

Yes your income could be used, but that normally applies at the point when you are ready to prepare your affidavit of support. Not sure how it affects during your interview.

Carry your tax returns, evidence of income for you and your wife to the interview just incase the officer finds out her mom doesnt not have income and does not qualify as a joint sponsor. At that point you could prove that you and your wife's combined income meets the 125% requirement.

That was my opinion. you can consult an immigration attorney or check with USCIS to get legal advice.
