I applied for an immigrant Visa through my US wife. We are currently living in Italy and our application has been sent to the consulate of Naples (DCF).
We have some problems filling the I-864 affidavit of support.
My wife does not meet the requirements for being my sponsor.
However we can make it, considering my assets. In fact I have a bank account and some money in stocks and, overall, I own a house. Adding all these values, we are way over the required amount (5 times the poverty line).
The only problem is that my house is in Italy and not in the US. In this way, is it possible to include the house in the assets, or the assets are valid only if they are located in the US?
