I am applying to adjust status (2 years green card),today i got a letter from USCIS,ask for more information. it says: "In order to process your application further,the joint sponsor on Form I-864, affidavit of support must submit all Federal income tax documentation submitted to the Internal Revenue Service(IRS) for the most recent tax year"
My questions are:
1: who is the joint sponsor? -----we filed two I-864 forms to USCIS, one is my husband,another one is our co-sponsor,"the joint sponsor on form I-864" means my husband OR our Co-sponsor OR both of them???
2: Last time we only filed the most recent tax return (Form 1040 for 2007) of my husband and the cosponsor to USCIS,Does USCIS means asking us to send 3 years most recent tax return OR asking for other tax return documents than Form 1040? for example: W2 etc?
I don't think USCIS is asking us to send 3 years tax return,because the last words "for the most recent tax year", it seems mean 2007 year tax return.
But if USCIS means ask us to send the most recent tax year-----i don't understand, because we already sent both of them's 2007 tax return to USCIS
So now i am totaly confused, hope to get your help! we appreciate you!
