I 864 need help please

My wife just became Citizen and filling for my I130, 485, 765 and 531. She does not work and I have been laid off on H1b since January 2009. My borther (US Citizen) is a joint sponsor and filling out I-864. Do any of us (me or wife) need to fill ou I 864? If so what documents do we need to submit alongwith I864. Pease advise. :confused:
 
I believe you and your bro each have to file a I864. Your bro, a joint sponsor will also need to submit a copy of his naturalization certificate along with the I864.
 
What about the financial documents for me and my spouse. Neither of us work. I had an income until dec 2008. not after that?
 
The US citizen must be the primary sponsor, regardless of income. So your wife will fill out the I864 and attach the required evidence (ie, tax returns etc), and then the joint sponsor will also fill out one and attach proof that he makes the required income (or above).
