I-864: most recent tax return

In form I-864, part 6, line 13, it states to attach the Federal tax return of the most "recent tax year." I have not yet filed my 2013 tax return. Does this mean I have to file my 2013 tax return? Or is it sufficient to send my 2012 tax return?

They don't expect you to send the 2013 tax return/transcript when the April due date hasn't arrived yet. Returns up to 2012 are OK for now.
