I-864 Joint Sponsor while I-485 is pending

Hi,

my aunt filed petition for my parents in 1989. They have got the visa call from the consulate abroad. My aunt's income is not sufficient to meet the 125% poverty guidelines.

I currently have pending I-485 employment based (I-140 approved). I have an EAD card. Can I file I-864 as joint sponsor for my parents.

Please reply asap.

I was looking at I-864-A form and could not find this requirement. Could you please share the source of this information? Thanks.
