-Joint sponsor only has tax returns from 2004, 2003 and 2001. Missing 2002. Can it post a problem?

Here is a link to a tread where somebody’s I-485 was denied because the co-sponsor’s one year of tax returns was missing:

If it was me, I would find another co-sponsor, rather then coming up with the excuse.

I think you should call the Taxation Department and ask them for a copy. They will send you a report for the last 5 yrs. This is what I did for my husband's citizenship. Believe it or not he didn't have a single years report.

So that should not be a problem.Good Luck.

I agree with waiting. Call IRS and the automated system can be used to order transcripts for the last 4 years. It comes in 2 weeks and INS accepts them. Be careful to order transcripts not the copy of the actual return. They are the same except it costs $39 to get a copy of the actual return.
