I received the interview notice today. It looks like a generalized one which clearly says bringing I-864 to the interview.
I am the petitioner for EB1-A which was approved in Feb 2006. My wife is the derivative of this petition. Now i have two questions:
1) On form I-864, which basis of this form should i check? shall i check option b:
"I filed an alien worker petition on behalf of the intending immigrant, who is related to me as my: (myself?)"
or option d: " i am the only joint sponsor"
2) the instruction clearly says:
"Part 2. Information on the Principal Immigrant. The principal immigrant is the intending immigrant who is the primary beneficiary of the visa petition". In this case, i myself filed the I-140 petition and i should be the principal immigrant. But on Part 5, Sponsor's household size, the sponsor himself is automatically check as "Persons NOT sponsored in this affidavit"
This is confusing ...
Shall i just list my wife as the only one who need sponsor instead of my and my wife ?
