I-864, Affidavit of Support Under Section 213A of the Act

Hi all
Is this mandatory. My attorney did not file this. Could you all please let me know whether we should file this or not required.
 
I don't think I-864(Affidavit of support) is required any more for employment based AOS applications but it is still required for family based AOS applications.
