AOS to AC I-140 conversion questions:

When the beneficiary (or his/her attorney) files I-824 --
1) Does the I-824 filing automatically invalidate the pending I-485 and approved EAD and AP?
2) What happens to the beneficiary's "AOS parolee" status if (s)he had entered U.S. with AP?
3) Should the beneficiary have a valid H-1B as a backup so (s)he can remain in U.S. legally after filing I-824?

1) Does the I-824 filing automatically invalidate the pending I-485 and approved EAD and AP?

Answer: No. 485 is terminated when your I-824 is picked up for processing and after you have submitted your consent to move to CP.
