Can someone help me with this? I am totally confused. I am currently a Canadian citizen, lived in U.S. 11 years ago with F-1 visa. My sister - U.S. Citizen applied I-130 for me then and it is approved. On August 7, 2006 I submitted I-824 with VSC and according to their website they completed cases upto August 20. However my case is still showing "Pending." From visiting different web sites what I came to know is that it can take anywhere between 8 monts to years before they approve it. What is the exact situation? My attorney told me that he is expecting a letter anytime soon and I should get an interview in 3-4 months. But I have hard time to believe him after reading several posts.
