Quick question...

On the 824 notice it says it is taking from 150 to 999 days for this kind of a case to process.

Does that mean anything for Consular processing????

There are certain consulates that accept I-824 receipt to file AC I-140 form of CP process. While other consulates require I-824 approval before filing for CP.

If your consulate if one of those that require 824 approval then you will have to wait until I-824 gets approved and only then can you proceed with CP.

what consulate are you applying for your CP interview?

I actually already did??? but wanted to know what the hell does that mean?? 999 days!!!!

I applied for 824 in June'17.

Does delhi accept reciept of 824? Also can anyone tell us how much time we got to wait after sending the P3 to delhi directly. I mean when should one expect interview if the packets were sent during the last days of July.

GOOD NEWS! Delhi does accept the AC I-140 process with I-824 receipt. Tell your attorneys to file AC I-140 and they will know and do the rest. Chennai is the only indian consulates that requires I-824 approval which means a wait of 10-12 months.

From the time you file your AC I-140 it will take approx 4 months to get the interview.

Actually the 824 is not for me, I already have a GC, it is for my wife. We got married while my 485 was in the process, after I got approved, I applied for her 824. She is still in delhi

Does anyone know how much time now??? Is it 4 months or less then that!!! attorney says couple of more months.
