I-797C Notice of Action - Same as I-797 Request for Evidence?

I started the naturalization process on September 23 after being a legal resident for more than 50 years--old guy now! In late October I received a notice I-797C Notice of Action setting up an appointment for finger printing, scheduled for November 5. I attended the appointment as scheduled and had my fingerprints done.

Today I checked the USCIS online status of my application and saw a notice that said a I-797 Request for Evidence dated 10/18 had been sent to me and my application was on hold until I provided the evidence requested. The I-797C was dated 10/19 and is the ONLY form I have received...was the fingerprint form the one they have referenced in the online status? There is nothing online to show that the fingerprinting had been done.

It's too late today to call so I was wondering if someone on here might know if this is something I need to pursue, or if the I-797C and I-797 are the same thing?

I received the same notification online when i check status and then i receive in the mail the Finger printing request I-797C letter, so from the above reply it is nothing othen then the FP process , I also thought there were more evidence from me as well.
So i guess i will not worry anymore.
