I have the copy of 797. I did n't get the Original 797. What's the USCIS contact number I need to call for getting the duplicate? Are there any references to this issue.
I am in the exact same boat as you are. You have to file form I-824 to request a duplicate of an approved case. The fee is $195, the last time I checked.
In my case, my HR manager got a courtesy copy of the H1 approval, but my attorney never received the original. After sending a case status inquiry and waiting for more than a month without any news from the Vermont Service Center, the attorney's office finally decided to file I-824 to request a duplicate of the original approval notice. It takes an average of 90 days for them to process your request.
