I-797.....H1B......I-94...I-838 My employer has given me only the orginal lower portion of the approved I-797 ( H1B) and copy of the top portion. Will I need the orginal top portion 1-797 for visa stamping at US consulate?
If so,
If you really read your 1797, that is what our employers should be doing ie should retain top portion and give bottom portion to emplyee AND file for I838 for visa stamping. Why then almost all other employers are giving the Origianl 1-797 to empolyees? And why does US embassy is asking for full orginial approved 1-797.
Any ideas?
