I-765 with H1B1 Visa needed?

Hello all,

I submitted my I-140 & I-485 back in February, 2007 to the Texas Service Center. I'm still waiting for approval on both forms. I have a H1B1 Visa that expires October 30, 2007. Do I need to get a work permit for myself (I-765) as my visa is soon to expire and haven't received an answer from USCIS? Or Can I continue working covered under my I-485?

I would suggest you to apply for H1B extn. as soon as possible and also if you get EAD, you can use it only after I-140 approval.
