I-765 Mess. Please Help!

Hi everyone,
So after I sent the whole package to the Lockbox, we got notice of actions for I-485, I-130 and I-131. We also got 2 rejection notices for I-765. One said that the check was missing with the I-765 application and the other one said that we had sent in extra fee ($180) with the application package. Clearly, the USCIS misplaced the fee and the I-765 appln--the two got separated. Great start to the process!

What are your thoughts on these questions:

1. I have just resent my I-765 application. In case USCIS has already sent a biometrics appointment for I-485 before my I-765 reaches them, will I be asked to do another FP/biometrics for I-765? Or can I simply take the I-765 NOA if I get it by the time I go for the FP/biometrics appointment?

2. How much delay will resending the I-765 appln cause?

Your thoughts are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi there! Here are my thoughts about your questions:

- I would say chances of USCIS sending you the FP notice for the application that has been rejected would be not that great so I wouldn't worry about it...Not sure if you can just go and have FP taken with NOA, thought you need the actual FP notice for this? In any case according to provided info from other people here FP notice might take any time from few days to few months after you get your NOA I-765.

2. How much delay will resending the I-765 appln cause?

-I don't think anybody could give you the exact answer to this question, I'm afraid that the time was sort of reset again when you resent the application, meaning that most likely 90 days limit will start from the date they receive your very last application for I-765.

These are just my thoughts though, hope in fact you get your EAD way faster than 90 days :)
