I-765 and previous EAD from USCIS

Hi there

I am filing I-176 along with other docs (like I-130 and I-485). I am on H-1B (7th year).

What should I reply to questions#11

11- "Have you ever before applied for employment authorization from USCIS?"

Is H-1B considered as such EAD? whats the USCIS office and date?

H1B is diffeent than EAD

EAD is Authorization for Employment, Your H1B is different,
while pending Application, so I assume that would be a NO,

EAD is a work permit, not a visa (which is what an H1 is) and the application is only referring to an EAD. I was also confused on this issue with my TN. But a TN is not an EAD so I put N/A in the spaces referring to any previous EAD. I'd only assume you would do the same (unless, of course, you have actually applied for an EAD before.)
