I e-filed my I-140 yesterday and checked ONLY I-485 in Part 4, 4th item.

1) Can I send application for I-765 and I-131 along with the package?
2) Will new rates apply for I-765 and I-131?
3) Later upon getting the EAD, will my H-1B and my wife's H-4 visa expire even if we do not use it?
4) What if my wife starts using her EAD and later my I-485 does not go through or I inadvertently do not continue the process of I-485. What will happen to her status?

I am still thinking if I have to apply for EAD and AP. Your inputs will be very much appreciated. Thank you!

Did you read the instructions on form I-485? It is clear about traveling etc... and H1B!
If you are an H, L,V, or K3/K4 nonimmigrant whocontinues to maintain his or her status, you may travel ona valid H, L, V or K3/K4 visa without obtaining advanceparole.

Your wife could make use of en EAD if she wants to work, while you don't need it with your H1B, which can be extended on a yearly basis while your I-140 is pending... If you I-140 is denied and your H1B is no longer valid, then you are in bad shape.

Did you read the explanation on fees etc... on the USCIS FAQs?

That should help you answering your own question ;)

Thank you Chris! Your advices are really helpful.

I have finished 2 years on my H1-B, so I can revert back to H-1 again if things do not work out.

The reason why I am asking this question about EAD for my wife is because she is trying to get into residency (MD). She will use EAD ONLY if my I-140 is approved. Once she enters her 3 year course on EAD I do not know if she will able to change to H visa if my I-485 does not go through or I do not continue the process of I-485. What will happen to her status?

Thank you!
